Owner, Outfitter, and Guide

Although I reside in Billings Montana much of the year, my roots are deep in the gumbo soil of the Missouri breaks. After 17 years as a licensed and practicing fishing guide on Fort Peck reservoir, I decided in late summer of 2017 to secure my Montana Outfitters license, and serve fishing clients as a private business owner. The fishing opportunities I provide clients, include the world-renowned fishery of Fort Peck Lake, but also the surrounding reservoirs of Fresno and Nelson, as well as the Missouri River, both upstream and downstream of Fort Peck Lake.
I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to fish walleye waters in many of the Midwest states; including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana as well as Canadian waters. For much of the year I teach at Montana State University Billings. My experiences on the water and in the classroom have allowed me to become a better angler. Not only do I enjoy teaching clients fishing tips and tricks, but I also enjoy sharing facts about dam history, which often results in very interesting discussions.

Guide # 23763
Greetings from North Central Montana!
I am a native Montanan and spent much of my youth fishing on Fort Peck Reservoir. I am an avid outdoorsman and when I’m not on the water fishing for Northern and Walleyes or whatever is biting you will find me in a goose blind or tracking big game.
I participate in the Montana Walleye circuit and have multiple rankings from these tournaments along with several championships. I live in Havre with my daughter Olivia and she loves to spend many hours on the boat fishing and enjoying Montana’s great outdoors with me.
I enjoy taking clients out for a great fishing adventure and there’s nothing better than when we hook the big one!
Step aboard my 620 Ranger as I guide you around Fort Peck Reservoir.

Guide # 33134
I was born and raised in Montana, and I’ve been fishing in eastern Montana since I was 12. My home is Billings, Montana, but I enjoy fishing in eastern Montana as often as I can. My fishing experiences have taken me from the Gulf Coast of Texas and Mexico and back home to Montana, fishing at Fort Peck, including Crooked Creek and the Dry Arm.

I’ve enjoyed catching some trophy fish along the way and would love to help you do the same! No matter the size of the fish though, I will provide a quality, fun fishing experience.

Guide # 33855
Craig has been fishing the waters of North central Montana and Southern Canada for over 30 years. He is know to his peers as the "Salmon Whisperer". When not fishing for Fresno reservoir walleye or Fort Peck salmon he can be found wandering the prairie of Eastern Montana with a scattergun in pursuit of pheasant and grouse.
